Learning German was a crucial part of my journey.

Growing up in India, I always relied on my parents and my boyfriend to make decisions for me. I knew that if I continued to live in India, I would never truly become independent. My sister lives in Germany and that’s when she suggested that I move to Germany, where technology was thriving and the opportunities were endless.

Six and a half years ago, I made the decision to move to Germany, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. With the help of my sister, I learned how to be independent and take control of my life. I became an AI developer, working as a research assistant in school and eventually landing a full-time job in Munich.

Along the way, I realized that I had a passion for helping others. I wanted to share my knowledge and experiences with people who were also navigating their lives in Germany. So, I started an Instagram page @_explorewithsimran_  to provide information and guidance on how to succeed in Germany and in their careers.

Learning German was a crucial part of my journey. It was important for me to assimilate into the culture and be able to communicate effectively with the people around me. Germans are welcoming and open, and I found that they appreciated my efforts to learn their language.

Through my journey, I became a confident and independent woman, making all of my own decisions, both personally and professionally. And now, I want to inspire others to do the same. If I can do it, so can you.

While I do have concerns about my parents in India and whether I should stay in Germany or return home, these thoughts are a constant presence in my mind. Nevertheless, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities that Germany has presented me with, and I am aware that my journey is far from complete. Despite any challenges that may arise, I am excited about what the future holds and am prepared to face them head-on.
