I started my journey in India, and eventually ventured to the US for school. After spending three years in the oil and gas industry, the pandemic hit and oil prices plummeted, causing me to lose my job. But I refused to let this setback bring me down. I decided to pursue a Ph.D. program in Business.

Despite the unexpected change in my plans, I drew on my experience as a content creator to make meaningful connections in the South Asian community. This led me to create “Recover Season,” as a reminder for self-reflection on personal growth, accomplishments, and mental health. I chose the colors of the sunset – purple, pink, yellow, and orange – to symbolize the tranquility and fortitude we should always carry with us.

In crafting my collection, I prioritize using Indian fabrics, glass work, laces, and tassels, with everything being handmade and hand-stitched. Sustainability is at the forefront of my mind, we use viscose, cotton or deadstock fabrics.

Additionally, through Recover Season, I’ve been able to learn more about my family’s entrepreneurial spirit. As my mom and dad retired from demanding jobs, they jumped on to help lead RS. Family holds a special place in my heart and through this experience, I’ve become closer with my parents and gained a deeper understanding of the parent-child relationship.

What sets my collection apart is not only its focus on sustainability and unique colors but also the family aspect that underpins it all. Our family values togetherness and through Recover Season, we have been able to come together and support each other, one step at a time.
